The Garden
High Pressure Laminate (framed), 152 x 52 cm, 2025
THE GARDEN does not depict death directly, instead, it considers its quiet integration into life. A foxglove is one of the very toxic plants found in Central Europe, yet you can find it blooming in most gardens. Hereby, the foxglove’s seductive form and toxic nature point to the bipolarity between the celebration of life and danger.
The production method forces the observer to engage with the visual from different perspectives. At times it is clearly visible, at other moments, it is almost imperceptible. Like death and endings, it appears in various ways, sometimes obvious, sometimes barely noticeable, even when it is right in front of us.
